I might buy from my neighbor. He is a mechanic and has a small fleet of vehicles at his disposal. My wife spoke with him and he told her is moving so he will be selling his 2000 Ford Focus for 00. I checked the reviews b/c personally to me a Ford is blah. Anyway the reviews are horrible as some of you may know. Since I’m purchasing a used car I’ve been on Edmonds a lot doing reviews on different makes and models. I’m stuck on either 4th or 5th gen Accord or Civic. As well as a 4th gen Maxima. Anyway I figured I would buy it for her if that is what she wants. She is hung up on the price, and look of the car. Not so much what type of car. What questions should I ask him about the vehicle.

So far I know that it only has15,000 miles on it. He just replaced the clutch, breaks, and pump. It has no AC, that is how it came. It is paid off and he will transfer title to us. What else am I missing?

I misunderstood him, he said 50,000 not 15,000. As for the AC is just didn’t come standard when he bought it. It is a LX model, which is the very basic. It doesn’t even have a CD player (am/fm/casette) that is very low budget.

For the person that asked what I meant about gen, yes it is short for generation. 4th gen accord is 94-97, 5th gen is 98-02. 5th gen maxima 95-99.
